Dear Neighbors

Tonight is the touching annual Veteran’s Concert performed by Beaver Creek School students and there is a special ceremony on Saturday honoring veterans at Montezuma Castle.  During November to commemorate Native American Heritage Month, there are special programs every weekend at Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot.  This Saturday and Sunday are fee free days at the National Parks.
Saturday is the annual Beaver Creek Trails Day in Sycamore Park.  This year is extra special because the Beaver Creek Trails Coalition has produced a trails brochure (free) for the first time.  The Dutch oven enchiladas and peach cobbler are back.  There are free trails map bandanas and beaver stickers and tattoos for the kids of all ages.  Sign up sheets will be on hand for volunteer work days and to register for hikes.  And the weather is even supposed to be good!!  (photo from Kenn Trout)
The Beaver Creek Food Bank will NOT distribute food this Saturday, instead that will be done on Saturday, November 18.  On Sunday (11/12) the Friends of Beaver Creek Library will meet in the BC School Board Room.  Two special Wickiup Mesa trails hikes are scheduled for the following week that have experts giving talks during the hikes.
