Dear Neighbors

Today, November 1, and tomorrow while you’re enjoying the fall leaf color change, be sure to stop by Rollins Park and the BC Adult Center to browse and perhaps purchase some of the wonderful arts and crafts & goodies created by your neighbors. The Copper Canyon Fire & Medical Auxiliary will also be in the park grilling and selling hot dogs as a fundraiser. Toddler Story Time is today at the library and Wine & Yoga is happening at Emerald Waves.
On Saturday, the first of the month-long special events for Native Heritage Month are scheduled at Montezuma Castle.  Most features alter between the Castle and Tuzigoot.  The flyer is below listing all the events. The 5th Annual Yavapai-Apache Celebration is at Montezuma Castle from 9 AM to 3 PM.  The Fall Arts & Crafts & Bake Sale continues at the Adult Center and a Bird Walk is scheduled at Montezuma Well.  Saturday evening brings a special costume fundraiser at Emeral Waves Healing.
On Sunday, two Hopi artists will be at Montezuma Castle.
Christine Dargon Frydenborg, PhD, is the speaker for the Lake Montezuma Women’s Civic Club on Monday afternoon.  The Beaver Creek School Board meets this evening and Merry Movie Monday Night is back at the BC Adult Center.
The BC Adult Center Board meets Tuesday morning.  This evening is the annual Veterans’ Day Concert at Beaver Creek School to which the whole community is invited.  The students give very moving performances on this occasion.

Special Events & Regularly Scheduled for November 1 to 5
Friday & Saturday 11/1 & 11/2-The Fall Arts & Crafts & Bake Sale returns to the Beaver Creek Adult Center each day from 9 AM to 3 PM inside the Center at 4250 E Zuni Way in Lake Montezuma and outside in Rollins Park. A large variety of original artworks, local authors’ novels, and homemade bath and body products will be displayed. Jewelry, candles, lights, purses, scarves and custom-made clothing will also be on sale. All are created by local artists. This is a perfect place to start your holiday shopping. Saturday, 11/2- The 5th annual Yavapai-Apache Nation Celebration at Montezuma Castle is from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. This event will feature many artists, singers, and dancers honoring both Yavapai and Apache history and heritage. Further information is at 928-567-3322 ext 0. (See flyer below)

Sunday, 11/3–Hopi weaver Ivan Polelonema and contemporary artist Justin Polelonema will be at Montezuma Castle from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Monday, 11/4–The  Lake Montezuma Women’s Civic Club  will meet at the Beaver Creek Adult Center in Rollins Park, Lake Montezuma from 1 PM to 3 PM. The speaker will be Christine Dargon, PhD, of Emerald Waves about fitness and wellness. The cost is $5 for coffee bar and snacks. Everyone is welcome to join us to visit and make plans for the new year.
