It was duly moved, seconded, and approved to elect the slate as presented.
General discussion ensued until the meeting adjourned to the regular meeting at 5:00 and Janet announced the results of the work session to the public attending the meeting.
It was duly moved, seconded, and approved to waive the reading of the minutes and approve them as distributed.
Maggie reported a balance on hand from the bank statement.
During the call for public agenda items, Virginia suggested a history of LMPOA be compiled and will contact people to help her with the project.
It was duly moved, seconded, and approved that the treasurer should purchase post cards to be used to notify members that dues have been paid.
Information items were discussed.
Rollins Park - Bill reported that the trees have been trimmed; trimming of shrubs, etc. is coming up.
Ranch House/Golf Course - Purchase price for the golf course and restaurant is now at $970,000, and a new broker is working on the project.
P&Z - Janet stated that a response is requested soon on the Beaver Hollow zoning change request for a large strip of property along Cornville road from RCU-2A to MI-2A. She further reviewed the zoning change from approximately 6 years ago, at which time a plan was submitted--there was not a blanket request. Comment on the current request is requested by Feb. 17. It was duly moved, seconded, and approved that Janet send a letter to the County requesting that a plan be in place before a zoning change is requested.
Trails/Transportation - Work on Montezuma Path is now being done on Friday mornings. Volunteers are washing the community van (Beaver Buggy), and it has now passed 2,000 miles with 60+ trip equivalencies. LTAFII funds in the amount of $5,000 were approved at this morning's BOS meeting.
WBCBridge - Karin has been told by Phil Bourdon and Flood Control experts that trees and boulders will go downstream in a high water event. The next step is to go to the Governor and Federal Representatives. The County has a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers to work 200 ft. up- and downstream. Karin asked if people want to sign a petition. Virginia will prepare a sample letter and petition statement. Janet reported that the County has made small improvements and will replace bearings on the bridge.
Janet thanked the Krippenes for heading up the take-down of the Christmas decorations.
Regarding the request for password to the LMPOA website, it was duly moved, seconded, and approved to write a letter to Steve requesting that he give the password to Janet not later than February21 in order to be able to have a back-up webmaster.
Duplication of keys - Janet will arrange a combination of locks and keys to take care of the locks needed for the storage unit and Rollins Park.
Volunteers are needed for committees and various project assignments.
Re the "eye in the sky" at Camp Verde, it was duly moved, seconded, and approved that LMPOA will set a letter of support to Camp Verde.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:25 pm.
