Board Meeting Minutes

December 2, 2013, 5:00PM, Sharon Brook's Home.





In attendance:  Sharon Brooks, Janet Aniol, Jim Bowser, Phil Edwards, Ron Melcher, and Maggie Holt 

The meeting was called to order at 5:05 p.m. by President Sharon Brooks who asked Maggie if she would take minutes.

It was duly moved, seconded, and passed to approve the minutes of the November meeting.

Janet gave the treasurer’s report which indicates a checking account balance on hand of $835.55 and a balance in the CD of $8,367.24.  The report will be filed.

 Jim Bowser announced that the contract to repair the BCAC building has been awarded.  The contractor is getting permits, and it is not known when the building will reopen.

It was duly moved, seconded, and passed to hold the tree decorating in Rollins Park on Monday, December 9, starting at 9:30 a.m. weather permitting.

Ron Melcher reported that Jim Guerrieri is basically finished with the project of levelling the pavers in Rollins Park.  There are a few areas that need a little more work, and Ron will get in touch with Jim re same.

It was duly moved, seconded, and passed to hold the LMPOA annual meeting on Saturday, January 25, at Vintages, contingent on Kathy Chambers’s approval.  Sharon will get in touch with Kathy to confirm.  Janet will email the board the list of board members and when their terms expire.  Sharon requested that everyone be thinking about recruiting new members.

Deadline for newsletter material to Janet is December 9.  She will have it out before Christmas.

Janet will email Lt. Richard Martin, Commander of the Verde unit of YCSO, to invite him to come to an early 2014 meeting, giving him the annual meeting as one of the choices.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
