LMPOA TRANSPORTATION REPORT
March 1, 2010
YAVAPAI
LOCAL AREA NONPROFIT PROJECTS LMPOA collaborates in both of these projects.
· Beaver Buggy grant - With contributions and pledges from individuals and groups, the Beaver Creek Adult Center van account reached $3280. This was more than enough to qualify for the $2650 matching grant from the Jonne & Richard Markham Fund in the Yavapai County Community Funds. $2650 will be awarded to BCAC toward van operating and training expenses in the near future.
· The BC Trails and Paths Committee - This committee is in the process of becoming MRM Trails Coalition in order to attract more interest throughout the area. Supervisor Davis has recognized the initial efforts of the committee and considers that work to be a start toward a community trails system. The permit will be ready this week for work on the Montezuma Pathway improvements between Rollins Park and the Y.
